Our history

The team behind JoinedUp know high-volume workforce management like few others. As co-founders of Milestone, the award-winning independent recruitment agency with a £55m turnover acquired by Staffline plc in 2015, we have direct experience of the challenges faced by both agency owners and end-hirers.

We combine this sharp-end experience with a world-class in-house development team. Headed by a former trading systems developer for Merrill Lynch, he’s supported by a team of software engineers drawn from eBay, Shazam, and Vodafone, as well as a sprinkle of Silicon Valley with employee #5 from OpenTable.

George Campbell-Collins and Adam Thompson found Milestone to address the chronic driver shortage identified by the industry at that time.
2010

2011
Driver Exchange is launched by George, Adam and CTO Harry Blundun, helping logistics operators and agencies manage all of their workers in one place.
